With windows XP, you get an installation message on the start menu that says New Programs Installed. Duh, you’ve just installed that program. Lets get rid of that annoying message. Right-click the Start menu and select Properties. Open the Start Menu tab and click Customize. On the Advanced tab, deselect the "Highlight Newly Installed" option. Click OK twice.
